The performance objectives for the solution were an automated home with high definition picture in some rooms in the home, and a combination of high res audio distribution in areas that the the home owner spends a lot of time in and high powered audio distribution for main entertainment areas. We were also tasked to implement the home network as well the internal communication system. The home is a large home designed for an client that lives alone and would control all the other rooms when unoccupied and he is in his wing of the home best this is where we spends most of his time.

Audio Distribution
- The audio distribution system consists of 14 zones of distributed audio. 8 analogue Zones powered off a combination of Control4 multiroom audio as well as rotel high performance for zones that are for used for entertaining with the other 6 being digital zones distributed via a meridian distribution solution. For analogue and digital zones that were adjacent to each other, a lip sync corrector was placed in line of the signal flow to avoid any delays between analogue and digital zones when the spaces are used simultaneously. A turn table was installed in the bar area with the ability to be distributed through each zone in the home. The home owner also has access to streaming services such as Tidal, deezer via mobile devices, on wall touch panels and any television display.

Video Distribution
- 10 zones of video where distributed throughout the property with sources such as satellite television, steaming services, display of power consumption as well as video display. A Media Room is part of the home for big screen viewing.

Integration control
- The systems integrated include the alarm system and control of the all garages and gates. Control of these various sub systems avialable via the the app
- Front and back doors include the main pedestrian gate can be opened from the automation system

Intercom
- A siedle BUS intercom system was installed throughout the entire home for internal communication due to the size of the home. The client has the ability to also open the gate from the intercom handsets in the home. When at home, intercom can right to clients call and calls can be made internally via the intercom app.

Touch panel was placed strategically to be able to video call the chef from the main bedroom and have a view of the entire kitchen.

Video Surveillance
- A network video recording system was implement and specified based on seamless integration with control4. The cameras are available for surveillance via any of the television displays as well mobile devices and touch panels. The system also has the ability to do number plate recognition.

Network
- A virtual lan was the network system architecture implemented. The self-healing network was designed with specified network switches power cycle access points when they lose signal. If the switch does not get feedback from the access point after the second reboot, our service department will be notified and the issue can be address immediately.

Lighting control system
- Lutron was the choosen lighting control system based on the essential element of energy saving as well additional benefits such as seamless integration with control4 leading to enhanced comfort and convenience.

Media Room
- the media room was design for view of sport during the weekends as well as occasional movies on weekends. A surround sound was installed comprising of a Acoustically transparent Projection screen, projector with a vertical mirror mount, DSP floor standing speakers with a hidden Center ch behind the screen, a pair of in ceilings and a sub-woofer. a local Blu ray player is part of the system and located in the room with access to other all content from the multi-room system as well as dedicated streaming streaming into this room such as Sooloos , tidal, Netflix etc. Some custom programming:
- Projector was set up to automatically detect what content is being sent from the source where 16;9 or cinema-scope.
- Pause button press: Movie will pause, lights turn on very dim, enough to walk around and get a drink
- Play: turns lights off
Stop: turns lights on to 80%
